Sales and Market Intelligence Analyst
Clements Fluids is seeking a Sales & Market Intelligence Analyst supports the Sales organization by transforming commercial, operational, and market data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth and customer value. This role analyzes sales performance, customer trends, and market activity to support forecasting, territory strategy, pricing decisions, and strategic initiatives. The position partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to translate data into practical insights that improve decision-making and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
This is a remote position open only to candidates residing in the United States and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

1. Deliver Commercial Insights Through Data Analysis and Visualization
- Analyze sales, customer, and operational datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks impacting revenue and profitability.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across CRM, ERP, and operational reporting systems.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to support sales performance tracking, territory management, and pipeline visibility.
- Apply statistical methods and modeling to identify patterns in customer demand, product usage, and market activity.
- Present insights and recommendations to sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Develop forecasting models to support revenue planning, demand forecasting, and capacity planning.
- Use predictive analytics to identify growth opportunities, customer churn risks, and product demand trends.
- Maintain documentation and governance of analytical models and assumptions.
- Partner with finance and operations to ensure alignment between sales forecasts and operational capabilities.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify strategic opportunities in key basins and customer segments.
- Analyze customer buying patterns, service requirements, and operational data to support account strategies.
- Translate data into actionable insights for sales leadership and account managers.
- Support the development of value propositions and customer-specific strategies using data.
- Partner with sales leaders/managers, operations, and finance teams to evaluate strategic initiatives and business opportunities.
- Provide analytical support for pricing strategies, new product opportunities, and customer proposals.
- Lead data-related projects that improve commercial decision-making and operational alignment.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration across functions to support revenue growth.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools and programming languages to extract and analyze large datasets.
- Leverage Excel, SQL, PowerBI/Tableau, and other tools to create scalable reporting solutions.
- Explore machine learning and advanced modeling techniques where appropriate.
- Continuously improve sales reporting, forecasting, and analytics capabilities.
Core Competencies –
- Education
- Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial preferred)
- Data Science or Analytics
- Statistics or Applied Mathematics
- Computer Science or Information Systems
- Business Analytics or related quantitative field
- Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, commercial analytics, or business intelligence
- Experience supporting sales organizations, commercial strategy, or revenue analytics preferred
- Experience working with large datasets across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, operational data)
- Experience with visualization and data storytelling
- Experience building forecasting models or predictive analytics preferred
- Experience in oil & gas, energy services, manufacturing, or industrial markets strongly preferred
- Commercial & Technical Curiosity
- Transferrable skills
- Skilled in extracting and analyzing data using Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Detail-oriented with a focus for data accuracy and integrity
- Proficiency in using analytic programming languages.
- Track record of creative problem solving, and quick response to requests for data analyses.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including effective communication both verbally and in writing with management and coworkers.
- Strong ability to manage projects independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to established timelines.
